The PowerBurst® family of ultracapacitor cells is comprised of the 100% RoHS-compliant TPL and TPLS Series products. PowerBurst ultracapacitor cells are available in values ranging from 0.5 Farad up to 400 Farad. Unique ultracapacitor modules have been developed with the PB, PBF, PBL, and PBLL series. Rapidly becoming designers’ preferred choice to supplement, and in some cases replace, batteries, these electrochemical double-layer capacitors (EDLC's), sometimes referred to as supercapacitors, offer extremely low ESR (Equivalent Series Resistance) for high power and low loss during operation. The lightweight, small form factor parts are maintenance-free, boast a wide operating temperature range, and offer a limitless charge/discharge cycle life (500K+ cycles) along with high useable capacity. Moreover, these low leakage current ultracapacitors charge quickly and safely, and can deliver frequent energy pulses without harmful effects or reduced life.
